### Introduction to Staking on SatoPAD

SatoPAD introduces a unique staking mechanism within its ecosystem, offering significant benefits and incentives for its users. Staking on SatoPAD is not just a means to earn rewards; it's a gateway to participate actively in the platform's IDOs and governance. This chapter delves into the intricacies of the SatoPAD staking system and how it interlinks with the platform's tier structure.

### The Interconnection of SatoPAD Tiers and Staking

**Staking for Tier Eligibility**

To qualify for specific tiers within the SatoPAD ecosystem, users need to hold a minimum quantity of xSAPI tokens. These tokens are obtained by staking SAPI or SAPI-LP tokens. xSAPI tokens serve as governance access with specific purposes within the SatoPAD ecosystem and are not exchangeable or transferable.

> Remember: If you don't stake, your investment won't be able to climb up the tiers and instead it might leave you in tears..

### Notable Features of SatoPAD's Staking Mechanism

**Bonus Multiplier for Early Staking**

Users who lock their stake before a certain time can receive a bonus multiplier on their xSAPI balance, enhancing the rewards for early and committed participants.

**Minimum Requirements and Lock-Time**

To engage in staking, a minimum of 100 SAPI is required, and the staking duration should not be less than 14 days. There are no fees for withdrawing staked tokens, but they can only be withdrawn after the selected lock-time has passed.

**Reward Ratios and Lock-Time Options**

The maximum lock-time is one year, with a reward ratio of 1 SAPI to 1 xSAPI. Shorter lock periods result in proportionally reduced reward ratios. For SAPI-LP tokens, the maximum reward ratio is 1 SAPI-LP to 2.5 xSAPI. Users can stake both SAPI and SAPI-LP tokens concurrently to achieve their desired tier.

**Automatic Restake Feature and Token Withdrawal**

If the automatic restake feature is not enabled, the xSAPI balance decreases linearly over time. Users cannot withdraw locked SAPI tokens before the time lock expires, but they can increase their staked amount or extend the lock period for additional xSAPI tokens.

**Benefits of xSAPI Tokens**

xSAPI tokens grant users various rights, including receiving fee distributions, voting on platform decisions, and accessing early or exclusive pools.

**Leaderboard Incentives**

The top 50 stakers on the SatoPAD leaderboard receive bonus tokens, varying based on the amount of tokens they purchase during IDOs.

#### Example of Staking on SatoPAD

An example illustrates the staking process: A user with 1000 SAPI tokens opts for a 3-month lock, receiving 250 xSAPI initially. If they don't enable automatic restaking, their xSAPI balance decreases daily. By re-locking after 30 days, the user can restore their xSAPI balance to 250. Automatic restaking maintains the initial xSAPI balance throughout the lock-in period.
